1/27/10 - Toddler Tees arrive!

After numerous requests, CATATONIA now carrys Toddler Tee's from various bands! 2T-4T sized shirts from Metallica, Motorhead, BLS, and Social Distortion arrive this week and available for sale this Saturday. More band toddlers such as Pantera, Ramones, and others coming in a couple of weeks. ***Please note, Slayer no longer produces Toddler Tees. The licensor informed us new designs are in the works, so once they are available we will have them***

Also the big news is that CATATONIA will now be carrying CD's! Starting next week our first shipment arrives with over a hundred different albums from the Punk, Core, Thrash, Death,Black genres.
Just starting out, CATATONIA will have new releases but not receiving them until possibly two weeks after release. Running a CD store as well as everything else is way too much for just 2 people. So CATATONIA will be fully functional in all aspects of this by Xmas 2010.

1/11/10 - CHANGE OF PLANS

CATATONIA will be STAYING at it's current location until further notice of the next move. We realized we could not let down our local customers and friends and will continue to offer the best service and merchandise in the area!

We started this to provide San Antonio with a store that caters to fans of music that couldnt be found anywhere in the area. Three stores "dedicated" to music have closed within the last month. Closing now would hurt our customers and we would never do that. So with that, CATATONIA will continue to be open Saturday and Sunday: 10:30am til 5:30pm.

People wondering why the weird hours. Personal reasons such as college schedules will not let us open during the week at this moment.

Please sign our Email list when coming in to the store. We will update you with any news and new arrivals each week. If you would like to sign up now, just go the contact page of the site and put your email address in the information and use "Email List Sign up" under the subject line.

We are receiving more merchandise then our store can handle. Shirts, especially. When coming in to the store, make sure to look at the labels on the shirts, they will let you know which sizes we have AND any different designs available for that band. We do not have enough wall space to display every shirt. Don't be afraid to see the written design, we will happily show it to you.

We also are starting to veer away from going into a mall. We have spoken to numerous businesses about mall practices and if what is being said is true, it will only hurt us. Restrictions on what items can and can't be sold ( mainly any "offensive" material), Regulations on how your store needs to be set up and other issues contradict our mission statement and beliefs.

We are not going to compromise, sell out or change what we here are about. So opening in our own storefront may be the way to go.

1/1/10 - HAPPY NEW YEAR!

CATATONIA wishes all of you a great New Year!!!! And this year will be great for us! Starting on February 1st, CATATONIA will be shutting it's doors at our current location. BUT DO NOT WORRY! We will be selling exclusively online and the shipping is FREE! I understand some of you will miss seeing our pretty faces but this will benefit you, cause with virtually no overhead, we will be able to offer more items and reach our goal of opening our own NEW storefront location quicker.
Specifics are still up in the air regarding this, but it WILL happen.

Online ordering will be exclusively through eBay. I understand some people are concerned with safety and security involved with eBay sellers, but you know us! So just sign up for a account and use it just for us. Our user id is CATATONIATEXAS and you can always see what's for sale right here under the eBay link on this site.

Also PLEASE contact us through this site to get on our email list to receive updates and new arrival listings sent directly to you. Just put "EMAIL LIST" in the subject line and drop in your address.

Our New Arrivals page will be updated shortly with all the new items that arrived this previous week. Since updating this site is a one man operation, it is difficult to update the section quickly, but the eBay shop is updated daily, so just browse our selection to see the new items first.

12/11/09 - Important service announcement

Online ordering... we are currently working on and seeking a webstore for full online ordering through this site. Our Products page is wayyyy outdated and going to be taken down. However, you can view and purchase ALL of our available inventory through eBay. Click the eBay link which will take you our "store". Just scroll through or type in whatever item you are looking for. That's all! Our eBay store is always onpoint and up to date so you can check if a specific item is in stock and either buy it online or come on in and get it.

We are currently working on receiving new items every week, as you can see if you come in or check our eBay you can see that new items are showing up quickly. Sometimes, more quickly then we can update the New Arrivals section of this site. Again, to see ALL new and available items, click the eBay link.

Starting on January 2nd,2010, Due to our in store Manager's college schedule and to accommodate our rapidly growing online sales base,CATATONIA will no longer be open during the week. Our new hours will be Saturday and Sunday 10:30am til 6:30pm.

Weather Closure

CATATONIA will be closed tomorrow due to the anticipated bad weather. Icy roads are not fun for us and probably not for you. We will reopen normal hours on Saturday. Safety first.

Major deliveries are arriving this week starting with NEW shirt designs from Black Dahlia Murder, Whitechapel, Despised Icon ( a amazing all over print), Immortal and Belphegor!

New arrivals this week also include shirts from Slayer, Judas Priest, Obituary, Mercyful Fate, Death, and others as well as BookBags from AC/DC and ICP, a new TOOL hat, Buckles from Cannibal Corpse and ICP and a bunch of other new products!

Next week sees the arrival of new coffee mugs from Slayer and Judas Priest as well as a selection of shot glasses from the Misfits, Pantera, Priest and more!

This items begin arriving Friday afternoon. However, due to the predicted storms I may suggest stopping by this weekend.
